Led by poet and bookmaker Brendan Stermer, this free two-week course will offer an introduction to the rich history of small press publishing in western Minnesota and a hands-on opportunity to participate in the bookmaking process.

Session 1 – October 15
Learn about the history of small press publishing in our region and interact with a variety of handmade books - dating back to the small press boom of the 1970s - produced by western Minnesota artists and publishers.

Session 2 – October 22
Learn a few basic bookmaking techniques while assisting with the assembly of a new, limited-edition collection by local poet Casey Fuller. All participants will receive a free signed copy.
