PAC Galleries
These galleries feature rotating exhibitions of murals, sculptures, and multimedia installations created by both emerging and established artists from the community.
Altru Hospital
Altru Hospital has partnered with Public Arts Commission (PAC) to establish an art collection. Seventeen local artists have been selected to show their art in the new hospital.
Altru Professional Center
This exhibition will be presented at the Altru Professional Center, a space affiliated with Altru Health System. It will highlight the work of commissioned artists and associates, who have contributed to the hospital’s growing collection and enriched the broader community through the arts. The exhibition will offer patients, visitors, and staff an opportunity to engage with artwork in a focused setting outside of daily hospital routines, reinforcing the value of art as a source of healing, inspiration, and connection.
Mayor’s Choice Artist
The Mayor’s Choice Artist Award was established by Mayor Dr’s. Michael Brown and Ann Brown in 2010 to show the city of Grand Forks’ commitment to and involvement with the arts. Mayor Brown and Ann both recognized the human value of creating art, as well the tremendous impact of art on a community — its people, culture, sense of place and economy.
To practice any art, no matter how well or badly, is a way to make your soul grow. So do it.
